El Instituto de Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales (Ideam) emitió alerta roja por temperaturas muy bajas en los municipios de Santander, Boyacá y Cundinamarca.
En municipios de Boyacá como Sogamoso se han presentado temperaturas de -4.0 grados centígrados, en Duitama con -1.6 grados, Paipa con -0.6 grados, Cerinza 0.4 grados y Tunja con 5.0 grados.
Por otra parte, en algunos municipios de Cundinamarca las temperaturas oscilan entre el -0.1 y los 4.2 grados. Finalmente, en Tona (Santander) se han presentado temperaturas de 3.0 grados.
“Estas heladas se deben a la temporada de menos lluvias y se mantendrán hasta el miércoles o jueves de esta semana; luego de este tiempo el Ideam prevé mayor nubosidad y algunas lluvias sectorizadas", manifestó la entidad.
Recomendó a los agricultores, ganaderos y floricultores estar atentos a los comunicados emitidos por la entidad, con el fin de minimizar los riesgos.
Más radiación solar
El Ideam aseguró que debido a este fenómeno climático que se viene registrando, también hay incrementos en los valores de la radiación ultravioleta tanto en la mañana como en la tarde.
"Los valores altos y peligrosos de radiación se presentan en todo el país, pero los máximos niveles están en zonas montañosas. Especialmente hacia el sur de Antioquia, santanderes, Tolima, Eje Cafetero, Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Huila, Cauca y Nariño", señaló la entidad.
Los expertos en meteorología recomiendan evitar la exposición directa al sol entre las 9:00 de la mañana y las 4:00 de la tarde. Igualmente, usar camisas de manga larga y en general ropa que proteja todo el cuerpo y bloqueador solar con un factor de protección 30 o más.
